The plum is a solid fruit that grows all over the country in Korea. It has a sour taste with high citric acid content. Typically, plums are not consumed fresh. They are often made into an aromatic and sweet plum syrup.

Koreans have long believed that plums offer a variety of health benefits e.g. supply energy, improve skin, help digestion, etc. For centuries, plums have been used as a popular medicinal ingredient in Korean herbal medicine.
